Maybe It's True

You tell me that I’ve changed

That I don’t say the things I used to say

That I don’t pray the way I used to pray

That I don’t see faith in the same way...

Maybe it’s true

But have I really changed...or have you?

You tell me that I’m not the same

Than what you remember me to be

Than what you thought I ought to be

Than what you believed was really me…

Maybe it’s true

But have I really changed...or have you?

I don’t remember you being so unkind

To care less about love than a state of mind

To try to create a world where you will find

Only people who think just the way you do...

Maybe it’s true

Maybe I have changed...but so have you.
